Pointly Terms of Use

Effective 4 November 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to your use of the Pointly app (“the app”), provided by iDev (“we”, “us”).

1. Licence

The app is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). These Terms supplement the Standard EULA; if they conflict, the Standard EULA applies. By downloading or using the app you agree to both.

2. Using the app

You may use the app for your personal, non-commercial purposes on Apple devices you own or control, in line with the App Store Terms of Service and applicable law. Please don't misuse the app, try to interfere with how it works, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows.

3. Your content

Information you add — players, games, rounds, scores and templates — remains yours. The app stores your content on your device, so you are responsible for keeping your device secure and for your own backups. We cannot recover content that is deleted from your device. See the Privacy Policy for how the app handles information.

4. Important notice about Pointly

Pointly is a scorekeeping tool. It does not enforce, interpret or apply the rules of any game, and it does not calculate scores for you — every score is entered by the people at the table. You are responsible for agreeing the rules and checking the totals with your group. Game names and trademarks belong to their respective owners; Pointly is not affiliated with or endorsed by any game publisher.

5. Price and purchases

Any price for the app or in-app features is shown on the App Store. Purchases, refunds and any subscriptions are handled by Apple under its terms; contact Apple for refund requests. The app does not require a purchase to use its core features unless stated on its App Store listing.

6. Updates and availability

We may update the app to add, change or remove features, and may stop offering it. We aim to keep the app working well but can't guarantee it will always be available or free from errors.

7. Disclaimer and liability

The app is provided “as is”, and our liability is limited, as set out in the Standard EULA and to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted at this address with its effective date. Continuing to use the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
